Viola Woelfl, chief and spiritual leader of the Onaweha tribe, (part of the Commache nation) adopted Mary Clement into her tribe. Several years later, in a special ceremony in August, 1999, she gave Mary her own physical mantel of healing to go along with Mary's spiritual gifts of healing and named her, Nemenos, meaning, "of the people."
